Anti-jamming and assured navigation

Inertial navigation for vessels that still need position and heading when GNSS is unreliable.

What Django Marine supplies

Django Marine offers inertial navigation for vessels operating where GNSS may be jammed, spoofed, or simply lost. The systems described on the current website are based on the INS-D series and on fiber-optic gyro inertial systems (FOG-INS).

These are bridge systems for commercial, government, and offshore vessels. They are not a universal add-on for every leisure boat. Suitability, interfaces, and expected drift have to be confirmed for the vessel and the equipment already on the bridge.

What the installation is intended to support

The published purpose is to keep a position and heading available for ECDIS, radar overlays, autopilot, and other bridge systems when satellite navigation is degraded. Django Marine describes this as a complement to GNSS, not a promise that interference cannot affect a vessel.

  • Position keeping when GNSS is interfered with.
  • Heading that does not depend only on a magnetic compass.
  • A true-north reference on higher INS-D configurations, using gyrocompassing rather than GNSS.
  • Interfaces toward ECDIS, radar, autopilot, AIS, and other bridge equipment.

How this differs from antenna-only anti-jamming

Some anti-jam products use controlled-reception antennas to protect the GNSS signal itself. The approach Django Marine describes uses inertial sensors and sensor fusion, so navigation can continue for a period even if GNSS is fully denied. It does not require a multi-element anti-jam antenna array.

Performance still depends on the sensor grade, alignment, and how long GNSS has been unavailable. Django Marine will specify a system against the vessel’s mission rather than quote a single accuracy figure for every hull.

How a project is handled

Django Marine’s published scope is system design for the vessel, integration with the existing bridge, onboard installation and commissioning, and training with documentation. Ask for a quotation with the vessel type, current GNSS and ECDIS equipment, and where the vessel operates.
